Windows has none built in. NotchPixel adds one: an island at the top centre of Windows 11 and 10 that shows what is playing, your clipboard, files, calls and reminders, and opens into a card when you rest the pointer on it. It can float under the top edge like the iPhone's Dynamic Island, or hang from it like a MacBook notch.

A Windows screen has no camera notch, so NotchPixel draws its own at the top centre: pick the notch shape, which curves into the top edge like a MacBook's, or a floating island like the iPhone's Dynamic Island. Rest the pointer on it and it opens into a card with your music, clipboard, files, widgets and reminders. Mac notch apps such as NotchNook and Boring Notch run only on macOS.

No. In a fullscreen game the island steps aside, or shows a slim FPS, CPU, GPU and RAM strip if you want one. The strip needs borderless or windowed fullscreen: in exclusive fullscreen nothing can draw over a game.
Anything that reports media to Windows: Spotify, YouTube and other sites in Chrome, Edge and Firefox, Apple Music, YouTube Music, foobar2000, VLC and more. If the Windows volume flyout shows your track, NotchPixel does.
Press Send to phone on the shelf and a code appears. Your phone scans it and opens a page served by NotchPixel itself, on the same Wi-Fi, at a random address with a random key. It works only while the code is on screen.
Nothing goes to us. Weather, calendar, pinned sites, stream chat and lyrics reach the network only when you set them up. Your clipboard, notifications and files stay on your PC.
A Mac version is in development; no date yet. Buying the Windows license does not buy the Mac one.
